How TICKR works

Scans Binance spot for volume spikes and tells you whether buyers or sellers drove them — using real taker order flow, not just candle color.

1 · The volume spike

On each closed candle of your TIMEFRAME, a coin "spikes" when its volume is at least MULTIPLE× the average volume of the previous MEAN CANDLES.

Example at / 4 candles: if the last 4 candles averaged 100 BTC of volume, the current candle must trade ≥ 400 BTC to qualify. The big number on each card is the actual multiple (e.g. 5.3×).

2 · Consecutive spikes

VOLUME SPIKES (Candles) = how many candles in a row must each be a spike. Any means just the latest candle. Pick 2–5 to catch a sustained surge instead of a one-candle pop.

Each candle in the block is compared to the MEAN CANDLES before the block — so the spike candles never inflate their own baseline. A ⚡N chip on the card confirms how many consecutive spikes were required.

3 · Buyers vs sellers (direction)

Each Binance candle reports how much of its volume was taker-buy (aggressive market buying). That ratio is the refined signal:

This catches cases candle color misses — e.g. a green candle that's actually sellers being absorbed. The bar on each card fills green (buyers) vs red (sellers).

4 · Volume & price filters

MIN CANDLE VOL $ — the USDT value traded in the spiking candle must clear this, filtering out spikes where little real money moved.

COIN PRICE $ — show only coins priced within an optional min–max. Leave a box blank for no bound. (A quiet internal floor skips dead/delisted pairs so scans stay fast.)

5 · Recent range

RANGE HOURS sets a window (default 4h) over which each card shows the high, low, and ±variation% — how wide the coin has swung recently. The marker on the range bar shows where the current price sits between low and high.

6 · Charts & alerts

Click any card for a live candlestick + volume chart with timeframe buttons, updating every few seconds.

When a new coin enters the list, TICKR fires a browser notification + tone (toggle with the 🔔). Alerts respect your direction and price filters.
